In May, 1986, Mr. Yan Huaizhong, the founder of SGEG, with borrowed 20 thousand RMB and 6 employees, established SGEG.

Surpass

On June 2 nd , 1993, Mr. Wu Bangguo, Shanghai Municipal Secretary at that time, visited SGEG and wrote Surpass with the appreciation of SGEG's great entrepreneurship and its successful growth story.

Building new foundation

In October, 1999, SGEG formed two Joint Ventures with GE, combining GE's technical expertise and management experiences with SGEG's marketing strength and local experience. GE and SGEG aggressively entered into China's high end market, soon become one of the major players in the market offering great value to customers. It also helps SGEG started its international business.

Technology leads to future

In 2005, SGEG's R&D center was recognized by Shanghai government as High Tech Center. In 2006, 2007 and 2008 SGEG was awarded High-tech Enterprise by Chinese government. SGEG has entered into power electronics business, developed energy-efficient & environment-friendly products. In2007 SGEG launched its medium voltage variable speed drive, active power filter. In 2008, with its Joint venture, SGEG has produced more than 1500 units of Wind Converter. At the same time, SGEG is resourced to develop its solar inverter.
